JMAC as capacity as General Manager for Bluehaven Management lead the design team and Resource Consent process for Excelsa Village. 

 

A small master planned community designed by World renown Urban Designers DPZ Pacific, RobertsDay and Perth architect Simon Youngleson. It proposes to include a variety of housing types from single storey cottages serviced by lane ways, to live/work terraces, to multi-storey apartments located over a neighbourhood centre. It also includes a main street, village square and community buildings. After a lengthy design process, a built form vision for the development that was in keeping with the local coastal area was developed. The fresh vision in contrast to the existing suburban housing for the project was extremely favorably received by the local community and professionals alike.

 

Currently under construction, Excelsa Village is the first stage of Papamoa and an opportunity to refine the master plan intent through rigorous market testing. Already, the stage one development has delivered: pedestrian-scaled street lights, urban civil engineering standards, and affordable housing product that is true to the local coastal vernacular.
